Aventail, Zone Labs Announce Partnership
April 5, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- SSL VPN solution developer Aventail Corporation (Aventail.com) and Internet security solution developer Zone Labs (ZoneLabs.com) announced on Wednesday that they have formed a strategic partnership designed to integrate Aventail's SSL VPN with Zone Labs enterprise solution, Integrity using Zone Labs' Cooperative Enforcement technology.
Together, the companies say, they will ensure that remote PCs adhere to corporate network security policies as a prerequisite for network connectivity, protecting organizations from hackers, Trojan horses and other targeted attacks.
Aventail says it uses SSL and proxies to provide secure remote access for end-users to Web, client/server and file share resources. Zone labs Integrity guards enterprise networks with a combination of protection for network endpoints with central security management and enforcement. Integration between Aventail's SSL VPN platform, ASAP, and Zone Labs Integrity, say the companies, allow companies to enforce remote access security policies, helping to protect SSL VPN agents from penetration.
"Today's announcement marks two powerhouses coming together to share their market and technology expertise," said Chris Dukelow, vice president of worldwide business development at Aventail. "Together, Aventail and Zone Labs can help IT professionals secure endpoint devices and provide secure access to network resources. This offers security conscious companies an added layer of security during the VPN session."
