Atlantic Mutual Employs Broadwing MultiConnect
April 12, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Broadwing Inc. (broadwing.com), a leader in integrated communications, announced on Monday that it has formed an agreement to provide nationwide connectivity to the 22 nationwide locations of Atlantic Mutual Insurance Company.
The solution, says Broadwing, will allow voice and data traffic to be transmitted securely and quickly from one location to another, across Broadwing’s all-optical switched network.
"Atlantic Mutual wanted to improve the general infrastructure for a growing array of sophisticated communication and processing systems that enable us to deliver faster, better service to our customers, and at the same time provide our offices with faster access to critical applications based in our Technology and Customer Service Division in Roanoke, VA," says Don Padgett, assistant vice president, information technology, Atlantic Mutual Insurance Company.
Broadwing says it is providing Atlantic Mutual with its distance-insensitive private line solution MultiConnect, a service for connecting up to 28 remote locations for one flat monthly fee.
"Broadwing's ability to combine installation, implementation and monitoring with unique products and services is continuing to attract leading businesses that are tired of dealing with multiple vendors," says Rick Calder, president, business markets, Broadwing.
