Appia Appoints Regional Channel Manager
August 2, 2002 -- Appia Communiations (AppiaServices.com), an IP telephony-based voice and data services provider, announced this week that it has appointed Jason Wurster as its regional channel manager for the Chicago area.
In the new position, says Appia, Wurster will support Appia’s channel partners, who market and sell Appia products and services to end users.
"We are delighted to have an individual with Jason's strengths on our team," says Victor von Schlegell, Appia's president. "Jason's experience combines both sales and a strong technical background, an ideal combination for working with Appia's resellers."
Wurster holds a bachelor of business administration degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Iowa, and has over four years of experience and extensive technical training in Internet telephony.
Before joining Appia, Wurster served as regional sales engineer and consultant for Calence Inc. and application architect for a major IT consulting firm.
Wurster is also certified by Cisco as a Network Professional, Design Associate, IP Telephony Support Specialist and a Network Associate.
