ActiveLane Announces SME VPN Server Appliance
November 21, 2002 -- Network security solutions provider ActiveLane Inc. (ActiveLane.com) announced on Wednesday that it has released its V3000-100 VPN Server Appliance.
Designed for Microsoft Windows networks with fewer than 100 simultaneous remote users, the V3000-100 is intended to complement its predecessor, the V3000-1000, in the small business category.
"We see a great deal of demand for a Microsoft-centric VPN product which caters to small to medium sized businesses," said Ravi Lingarkar, president and CEO of ActiveLane. "I believe the release of the V3000-100 exemplifies the focus we place on our customers."
The V3000, says ActiveLane, does not require the deployment of a VPN client, instead using the native Windows VPN client. In addition, the V3000 series provides seamless integration with Microsoft networks through user authentication via Active Directory or NT domain.
Available for $3,995, the V3000-100 includes licensing for up to 100 concurrent users, and does not require any additional licensing fees.
