NetScreen Called Leader by Gartner
October 2, 2002 -- Network security solution provider NetScreen Technologies Inc. (NetScreen.com) announced on Monday that it has been recognized as a leader in the firewall and virtual private network businesses by research and advisory firm Gartner Inc.
NetScreen says it has been positioned in the "Leaders" quadrant of Gartner�s Firewall Magic Quadrant, identifying the company�s strong ability to execute and the completeness of its vision. NetScreen says its position in the VPN Magic Quadrant has shifted to signify its position as a "Visionary."
Gartner�s Magic Quadrant positions vendors in a particular market segment according to their vision and ability to execute. Leaders are defined by Gartner as companies performing well today, while visionaries are described as having a clear vision of market direction and are focused on preparing for it, but can still improve in optimizing service delivery.
