Myrient (myrient.com) has a slightly different focus than some VPN providers, choosing to focus on a full suite of managed services. The company is building a large IP network platform with geographically located points of presence, allowing them to quickly and reliably deploy a number of hosted server solutions.
Myrient has a customizable VPN offering known as the CentraPath Managed VPN. This offering operates like an Internet Service Provider, and is even listed in the same fashion as most ISPs list their connection solutions.
What Myrient does is simplify the process for site-to-site connections. Rather than use the Internet solely for connecting between different sites in a VPN, Myrient reroutes the client's data from the Internet through its own fiber-optic network.
Because the entire solution is based on broadband technologies, Myrient can offer a very fast and efficient VPN solution with direct tunnels and minimal reliance on the public Internet structure. It also allows extra security, as there is less likelihood of the packet being intercepted as it hops from place to place.
Myrient has designed the solution to be a 'plug-and-play' VPN. This is a great benefit to smaller companies which might not be able to afford the high IT cost involved in setting up a complicated network. Instead, all that Myrient asks is that the client sends them their basic network information, and Myrient will do the rest, including fully monitoring and troubleshooting the network.
Myrient can be contacted via their Web site, by telephone at (949) 330-6500, by fax at (949) 330-6500, and by email at [email protected]. Additional contact information can be found on their Web site.
