NetSilica Expands EPN Technology Functions
July 23, 2002 -- Secure remote access and data transfer solution provider NetSilica Inc. (NetSilica.com) announced on Tuesday that it has introduced secure access to Lotus Notes and Microsoft Oulook email applications as a significant component of its Enterprise Private Network (EPN) technology.
Using the technology, says NetSilica, enterprises can enable employees, partners and clients to access corporate email applications, including contacts and calendar functions, through a secure data transport without exposing the company network.
"The availability of email applications through our EPN technology further strengthens our secure remote access offering and meets the growing need to safeguard our clients networks," says Robert Marmon, Chairman and CEO of NetSilica. "Our mission is to create access to corporate data simply and securely from remote locations to significantly reduce dedicated IT resources and enable larger groups of internal and external users, resulting in lower operational costs and improved network security."
NetSilica says its EPN-based secure remote access solutions enable companies to provide employees, customers and partners with access to data from within any network through a Web browser.
EPN for secure remote access, says NetSilica, can function as a stand-alone solution for small companies, or compliment a VPN within larger enterprises.
