Lucent Supplies Products and Services for eircom

July 8, 2002 -- Network designer Lucent Technologies (Lucent.com) announced this week that it has supplied Irish telecommunications service provider eircom Ltd. (eircom.com) with its NavisRadius authentication server and supporting services in order to enhance its managed Internet services and IP-based services, including global roaming and corporate network access via virtual private network.

The solution, says Lucent, will be part of eircom�s IP dial access network upgrade, a 30 percent increase in remote access capacity. The upgrade will also introduce a broader range of IP-based services.

NavisRadius is designed to provide a range of customer authentication, authorization and accounting tools for remote access and supports a range of telecommunication services.
