Log-On Software Gets OPSEC Certification

March 21, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Log-On Software (log-on.com), a leading provider of database and security software solutions announced on Tuesday that its SQL-Guard 2.0 software has achieved the Open Platform for Security (OPSEC) certification from Check Point Software, a worldwide leader in Internet security.

OPSEC is Check Point�s industry-wide, open, multi-vendor security framework. The more than 300 partners in the program have all been tested for integration and interoperability, and support Check Point�s Secure Virtual Network Architecture.

Through the OPSEC certification, says Log-On, SQL-Guard 2.0 integrates with Check Point�s popular VPN-1/FireWall-1 software, providing the additional security of enhanced protection to back-end databases.

And using the OPSEC framework, says the company, SQL-Guard is the first software solution to add an additional security layer for the increased protection of information in back-office databases. The software blocks unauthorized SQL requests from reaching databases, one of the most simple and common methods, says Log-On, used by hackers to compromise organizations� sensitive data.
