Infonet Offers Program for KPNQwest IP VPN Clients

June 20, 2002 -- Global communications service provider Infonet Service Corporation (Infonet.com) announced on Monday that it has established its Service Continuity Program, designed to assist clients affected by the bankruptcy of European data communications company KPNQwest.

The program�s goal, says Infonet, is to offer clients of the struggling company, which recently postponed the shut-down of its network until the end of the month, an opportunity to migrate their IP VPN or ATM service to Infonet�s network.

Using public and private IP infrastructures, says the company, Infonet offers a seamless transition, essential to the business operations of many VPN customers.

"Infonet realises the need to provide an immediate solution to those KPNQwest clients who may be looking to partner with another service provider due to the bankruptcy of KPNQwest," says Jean-Noel Moneton, Infonet�s vice president of IP Services. "In utilizing Infonet's IP VPN or broadband capabilities throughout Europe, these clients are assured a non-disruptive, seamless migration. Additionally, as Infonet provides global coverage, these potential clients have the capability to further enhance their service through the worldwide availability of IP VPN and ATM portfolio services."

The company is encouraging both European and North American customers of KPNQwest�s service to contact it to discuss the program.
